Biography

Professor Erik Stensrud Marstein is the Centre Director of the Norwegian Research Centre for Solar Cell Technology, as well as the appointed Centre Director for the Research Centre for Sustainable Solar Cell Technology currently being established. He is the Deputy Department Head and Principal Scientist at the Department for Solar Energy at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) in Norway. He is also affiliated with the University of Oslo, where he lectures and supervises students in the field of solar cell technology. Since 2003, he has devoted his time to research in the field of crystalline silicon solar cell technology. Professor Marstein defended his PhD in physics in 2003 at the University of Oslo. He has close to 100 papers and holds several patents in the field.
